Introduction:
Fortnite is a co-op sandbox survival game made by Epic and is described as "Minecraft meets Left 4 Dead". Which is a fair description as the main things you will be doing is killing zombies and building all kind of structures.
The game was planned to become Free-to-Play at some point in 2019. However this seems to have been scrapped. The Save the World edition has been delisted from the PSN store and can only be acceses through the free game. Speaking of Battle Royal, the mode is free to play but it
doesn'thave any trophies and none of the main game trophies can be earned while playing it. The trophy list will, however be loaded when playing BR but it can be deleted since it won't move from 0% completion.
At the end of the Guide, I included some useful information for people starting "Save the World" : LINK
Note regarding trophies: Most trophies won't pop until the current mission is finished, despite the requirements being met and you must successfully complete the mission for your progress to be counted towards any other trophies.
Walkthrough:

Complete "Homebase Storm Shield Defense 1"
Main Quest Line
Storm Shield Defense, or SSD for short, is a special kind of mission where you need to build defenses using material gathered during other missions. The defenses do not disappear when you leave the mission, thus you can go to your SSD at any time to build more defenses between normal missions.
Another aspect unique to SSDs is that unless you are invited, you can only go to another players SSD by choosing "Play with others". The reason is there is no dedicated search option for SSDs. This means when you attempt your SSD, it will be harder to find teammates then during a normal mission and as such it is recommended to ask people to help you (either in the global chat or elsewhere e.g. the stickied boosting thread: LINK).
Each zone has 6 Stormshield power levels that need to be completed and while tied to the main quest line. SSD 2-10 are considered side missions. The side missions for shield power 7-10 in each zone are not required for any trophy.
With patch 5.1 you can now do the Stormshields back to back without completing any quests if you are above the required Power Level.
As the shield power level increases you will unlock Amplifiers. These are additional objectives that must be defended, however, the husks will only target the core or one amplifier per wave.

Save 10,000 Survivors in successful missions
(1)
Survivors are NPCs that spawn in random places during missions. They appear as small blue figures on the map. The Rescue the Survivor missions, unsurprisingly, contains the largest amount of survivor per mission, being 15 but they appear in all missions. To rescue a survivor, you often need to do a small task first e.g. protecting them from a small hoard of husks or fetch a medkit, before talking to them. If a teammate rescues a survivor, it will count towards this trophy as well.
You can track your progress under the challenge tab in the quest menu.
- World Explorer
Fully explore 1,500 zones in successful missions
(1)
To fully explore a zone, you need to remove most of the fog from the map, making it almost 100% filled in. Press
to bring up the map. When you fully explored a zone, you get a medal telling you that the map is fully explored.
You can track your progress under the challenge tab in the quest menu. - Unspeakable Horrors
Kill 20,000 Mist Monsters in successful missions
Mist Monsters are the larger purple/blue husks, namely the Smasher, the Taker, the Flinger and the Blaster. They appear in various numbers during all missions when you have progressed a bit in the story. Mist monsters can be farmed in "Destroy the encampment" missions. After clearing the first 5 camps, the 6th will spawn Mist Monsters along with normal husks, kill the Mist Monsters and run away from the camp. It will reset and when it's triggered again the Mist Monsters will also respawn. Thanks to SevenAM for telling me about this method. Your Teammate's Mist Monster kills
docount towards this trophy, if you injure the monsters first.
You can track your progress under the challenge tab in the quest menu.
- Plays Well with Others
Complete 1,000 Play With Others missions
(1)
Next to the Outpost (where you start SSDs) in every zone is a question mark in a yellow bubble. This is the launcher for “Play With Other”. Selecting "Play With Others" will start a random mission within the selected perimeters, including other people's SSDs. You can do these with a squad, even a full 4 player squad works has I been told, though I have not been able to confirm this. The option "Quest progression"
doesn'tcount towards this trophy.
You can track your progress under the challenge tab in the quest menu.
- Epic Troll Stash
Complete "Epic Troll Stash"
Side Quest
After completing all the quests in Stonewood and reached power level 15. You will be able to do this quest. The first step is to get a troll stash key, this is done by completing a whack-a-troll minigame. To find the minigame, you must look for a Bluglo and if you're lucky it will be taken by a troll - which then starts the minigame. Hit the troll 6 times, preferably with your pickaxe, to get your Bluglo and key. If another player completes this minigame you will get a key as well. The second step is to find the troll stash. The stash has a random spawn but has a higher chance to appear under bridges.
- Evil Things with Crazy Teeth
Complete "Toxic Treasures - Stage 10"
Side Quest
At some point in the main quest line, you will be introduced to Mimics, monsters masquerading as treasure chests. They only appear as blue treasure chest, which will bounce when you attempt to open them. Note that you must open the Mimic chest to make the monster spawn. Destroying the chest without opening it does not count. After progressing further in the story, you will eventually unlock the side quest "Toxic Treasures" which tasks you with killing Mimics. The quest is made up of 10 stages and completing the 10 and final one awards you the trophy.Other people killing Mimics, also count towards you quest progress.
- Talented Builder
Build 500,000 Structures in successful missions
(2)
Building is the main feature in the game and you will be doing a lot of it. This trophy will still be a grind however. Luckily your teammates structures also count towards this trophy. Thus the best way to grind this trophy, is running a 4 man squad. You also want to keep an eye out for the "Building Constructors" modifier, as this reduces the building cost for Constructors. Note that traps does not count towards this trophy.
You can track your progress under the challenge tab in the quest menu.
- Go Gnome!
Destroy 100 Garden Gnomes in successful missions
Garden gnomes are most commonly found in gardens and parks but also in some stores, houses and other places but they also come in different sizes and look like this: LINK. Always smash any that you come across as they may contain "Active Powercells" as well as netting you this trophy.
You can track your progress under the challenge tab in the quest menu.
- Loot Legend
Loot 300 Treasure Chests in successful missions
Treasure chest spawns randomly in set places when starting a mission. The chests give of a faint sound when close. Outlanders with the Keen Eyes perk can see loot through walls. In addition to chests there are also safes, these do Not count, neither does mimics, epic troll stashes or storm chests.
You can track your progress under the challenge tab in the quest menu.
- ... Oops.
Complete "I'm Probably Dead"
Main Quest Line
Complete a "Protect the Servers" mission in a 40+ zone.
